Tell Us About Your Life in the Law
Take part in LawCare’s ground-breaking research study Life in the Law to find out how legal practice and workplace culture affect wellbeing. Anyone working in the legal industry, including support staff, can complete the online questionnaire across the UK, Ireland, UK, ROI, Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. The results will form the basis of an academic paper and will be announced next year. The data will help LawCare and the Wellbeing Committee to improve the support available to Advocates and drive long lasting change in legal workplaces so that people working in the law can thrive.
Below are a series of blogs from Lorcan, a member of our Committee. The Committee will regularly update this section with topical articles.

Events
Mindfulness
The first Wellbeing event was on 11th September and was hosted by Mike Kewley.
The event was well attended and enabled advocates and support staff to meet and talk to the committee members. In his presentation Mike demonstrated methods that can be used to calm thinking and how we can all deal better with everyday stresses. We hope that attendees found the event useful and if anyone has any feedback or suggestions for any future events please let Jacky know.
Mental Health Survey
We are pleased to announce that we will joining a LawCare and the University of Sheffield in a cross jurisdictional survey on mental health in October. The intention is that the survey will now be released in time for World Mental Health Day in October. We will provided members of further details closer to the launch of the event. It is anticipated that the results of the survey will be ready in the spring of 2021.
More events will follow.
